Hello Halloween

The Witching hour is approaching. The little goblins are preparing for their night of begging. Mi & I are dreading the constant door knocking! And Raven has no idea what is about to transpire but it should be interesting. Especially with her new full glass view storm doors she adores looking out of. Maybe we'll get some nice pics to post to Facebook. Though it's not like Mi & I are going to dress up!! We've decided to use this opportunity to treat train her to sit obediently when people come to the door and knock. Wish us luck!

We spent the morning shopping at Thiesen's for winter wear. Now we all should be ready for the numerous inches of snow we are predicting this year. We just know this one is gonna be baaad. But were ready! Even Mi agreed to get the bibs and work jacket WITH the full head face mask even. I'm very proud of him. I'm sure he's just tired of me nagging him! ;)

Went to see a local play last night with my BFF Tari at the Marshalltown Community Theater. Man I'll never get that 3 hours of my life back. NOT a good play. I barely made it through without falling a sleep (we'd had Zeno's pizza beforehand and my belly was full) and controlling my urge to bail! Luckily being with Tari was my motivation and I only went because she had to for her college class. The things I do for that woman! It'd been forever since last we got to spend time together though because of work, school, kids and H1N1 at their house the week before. Thankfully Chase was given his H1N1 vaccine along with the regular flu shot so I'm hoping he'll not get either of them.

I have to admit Chase's dad Mark looks ridiculous tonight when he came to pick up Chase to trick or treat. He's dressed all in light seafoam green scrubs in one of those Dr. Zombie costumes. Right down to the scrubs hair net hat thingy! Oh that was a good laugh! -snickerin- Chase has 3 layers of clothes on plus a hat and gloves so hopefully he'll stay warm. It's 47 degrees with not much wind so he might just over heat instead.

Shawn tells me he's working this evening but not dressing up. He's getting around 17 hours a week right now and is in food prep. He says it's 'alright' when I ask him if he's liking working there. We're really rooting for him to find friendships, purpose, and satisfaction in hard work and a job well done. Only time will tell.
