Living History

Congratulations President Elect Barack Obama! Shown here on a glorious and historical autumn election 2008 evening in Chicago. His acceptance speech coupled with the magnitude of the miracle happening before my eyes moved me to tears last night. I have not felt such hope and pride in my government and the American people in such a long time. It is no less then miraculous that large numbers of the American people came together to overcome our misconceptions and differences today. We have elected the BEST person to lead our nation out of despair and into change and I am proud to have been a part of that. I am also proud to have shared this moment with my 8 yr old son who holds not one bone in his body containing prejudice. And I want more then anything to keep it that way. So the nation that he grows up in becomes more united and less divided. Together we all must continue to grow closer to a better understanding of how to truly live in equality and with tolerance of diversity. To unite as human beings not enemies so we may coexist on a planet we desperately need to heal and preserve. To reaffirm the American dream that We Shall Overcome! I pray God will help us all to grow closer to achieving these goals. And that people of all faiths believe more that peace, not violence, is the foundation of our planets future. So Say We All ;)
