I love Saturdays

It's late April. Rain threatens to spill from the skies at any moment. Our yellow & red tulips are in full bloom. Our initial Earthtainer was finished and planted with our 2 Roma tomato plants. The temperature is comfortable and we visited the plant nursery earlier today. Mi's now enjoying a vodka, pomegrante and OJ and we'll pop in one of our Netflix movies soon. Saturdays are my favorite day of the week especially in spring!
Tonight Mi & I are spending a quiet evening and dinner alone. Our favorite neighbors (who are selling their house, have recently moved out but are now living with the in-laws until their new house, which happens to be right next door to the in-laws, is ready for them to move in to in June) asked to have Chase come over for dinner and a movie tonight. His best friend Skylar misses him quite a bit too now that they've been gone for the past 3 weeks. We had some people tour their house today and they have an open house tomorrow so I'm fearful we'll be having new neighbors soon. And not one of them I'm sure are going to be anything like Brandi & Gary. They've been great neighbors and we're really going to miss them.

Friday Mi & I spent the day together too since my last day of working at Iowa Medicaid Enterprises was Thursday and I'm scheduled to start work at NuCara on Monday morning. It was a lovely day and I wish we could bottle it and live this every single day of our lives! But unless the lottery comes through for us odds are we just need to be happy with those stolen moments and Superb Saturdays!
It was a difficult 3 weeks at IME but the staff was very supportive and bought me a lovely going away card then included lots of best wishes inside. It was definitely a different experience then I'd ever had before between the commute, the larger work place and lots of people. The LONG walk from the overflow parking lot, past the low income housing buildings and beginning to walk each day during my two 15 minute breaks. It was nice to get out and out of the cubicle maze of a building but after school the kids spilling through the parking lots were down right scarey and dangerous. So I have to admit I'm glad and relieved to return to small town Conrad and the small work staff. Not to mention the commute of 1 hour 15 minutes daily in good weather was worse then I could ever have imagined. So even if NuCara drives me insane I'm going to remember it could be worse! -laughs- But seriously this new position will be something I've never done before and be a big challenge. I'll be learning it all from the medicare billing, the home medical products to how oxygen and nebulizers and hospital beds work. Kinda like what I'd been doing the last 3 weeks! Now I get to see if I'm going to like working with this new theme. Otherwise it's back to the drawing board for me.

It's time now for that movie I mentioned earlier. It's a toss up between Brothers or Precious. I think Mi would enjoy Brothers more so we'll see. I hope Sunday is as enjoyable as the last two days have already been. Tomorrow is laundry, baking healthy muffins, making salsa and margaritas. Happy Spring Everybody!
