Inauguration Day 0, Salukis 10!

In honor of my boycotting today's presidential inauguration I've decided to do my best to only focus on things that make me smile and have hope. Therefore it's Saluki candids for today's blog. I hope they photographs do the same for you but I understand until you see them run and feel their special energy it's hard to become as obsessed with them as much as we are and all the dear friends we have met on this journey we began in 2013.

Our close friend LM with her girl Lucy being photo bombed by my hubby J. This was taken at the Amana dog show 2016. It was because of her that we first saw a Saluki at our local dog park and fell in love. The day we saw her girl Lily run like the wind and who ended up being the Aunt to our first Saluki, Scarlet
This is Scarlet enjoying a beautiful afternoon at the lure coursing field at Water Works Park in Des Moines

Scarlet had a loooong day at the 2015 Saluki National in St Louis. This one makes me laugh every time because it like she's had one too many margaritas! Salukis are famous for their strange sleeping positions and she does not dissappoint.

Our youngest Saluki Stella. Named after my Mother's childhood best friend. This was her first Saluki Club of America's National Specialty. She's wearing her new lime green collar and lead and officially it became 'her\ color.

View number 2 where you can see the collar a bit more.
Another silly sleeping girl, Stella
The freckles on her nose and her little eyebrows just melt me
More lure coursing from 2016 at Water Works Park with J. Scarlet has decided she's more a cheerleader than runner which is why she doesn't have on a coursing blanket

Stella loves to run and she loves her Papa!
