The last couple days have been very difficult. One of our best friends Salukis died during the night. When LM found her the next morning it was a shock for all of us. The veterinarian thinks she might have thrown a blood clot so she didn't suffer thankfully. We loved her dearly and since it was so sudden it's even more difficult. We are all mourning her loss. Together we gathered and said goodbye but I still can't believe she's gone. She was the Aunt to our Scarlett so every time we look at her we will think of the beautiful Lily. After all it was because of Lily that we even learned about the breed and got our own. It was a miracle that they were related since we didn't even know LM when we first saw Lily run at our local dog park. It was all by chance that we found the same breeder as Lily and that she was the Aunt to our Scarlett. We over time got to know LM and now she is our family. A special connection based on a love of a breed and sport. A relationship that connects in loyalty, empathy, love and trust. We've always been there for each other when we are needed and that to me is rare.
