Mousehunt! A Facebook Application game we've been playing. Mi & I now have Facebook pages mainly because of Mousehunt but it's also good to keep up with family, friends and former classmates we've not see in forever! If you too have Facebook and you're interested in becoming one of our 'friends' you may use the following links.

We've also been enjoying our free trial of Netflix! It seems to be working out well thus far but we'll keep you updated if anything changes. We've recently watched Operation Filmaker, The Changeling, Bolt, Role Models and Son of Rambow. Chase gives Bolt two thumbs up!! I think OF was a very interesting documentary but The Changeling didn't grow on me. In fact I hated watching Angelina Jolie in that one. She seriously needs to eat! She looks so old, all boney and wrinkley in this movie not to mention it's heartwrenching that her son disappeared one day when she went to work! Something I NEVER hope to have to live through. The verdict is still out though on whether we will continue to keep Netflix if they constantly have problems getting us the really new releases because they're giving them instead to the 'trial members' so it 'appears' as though they're a great deal! I'll let you know how long it takes before Quantum of Solace 'actually' takes before we get it now that it's status in our queue has gone from short wait to long wait. It does have a quick turnaround though in the mail with cd's because I mail them back to them on Monday morning and they get them the next day and mail out the next set immediately and we get them usually on Wednesday. Of course you can keep them as long as you want too without penalty but we like to watch them on the weekends mostly so this works well for us. Mi can also watch things on demand on his computer including numerous old and current tv series. All of which is included in your about $9 monthly fee for unlimited movies.
Tari & I went to our first Conrad Library Book Club meeting. We both read Lisa See's "Snowflower and the Secret Fan". A wonderful novel about China's old world culture and the relationship between 2 women starting when they were young girls. It was an interesting exchange and mix of people that attended but I fear I want to discuss literature much more in depth then they perhaps do. It seems more of a social gathering then deep analylzing of story lines and characters. And you all know how easy it is for me to be quiet and without over analyzing things! We received our second novel called "The Mermaid Chair" but next time I'm going to try to be less intrusive to their already established group. If it continues to not meet my needs Tari & I will consider starting our own group instead perhaps. I've decided to give it enough time before forming a complete opinion on how I feel about the situation though. It doesn't help that our local library after moving into their new location doesn't have time to host their own book club! And frankly I am not interested in my own library feeling like I'm being pushy in asking them to just deal with it and suggest they do it anyway. The conversation with the information desk was overwhelmingly about how overwhelmed the staff already was with their unforseen challenges so I just decided to let it be for now at least.
Chase's allergy shots seem to be going well. I'd like to thank Grandma Carol for being diligent in taking him every single Monday after school to McFarland clinic! I know it's not easy doing that and we ALL greatly appreciate your commitment to helping him improve his health. Currently he's not having to take any other allergy medicines on a regular basis but we'll see how the summer progresses.
We also enjoyed watching the finale of Battlestar Gallactica last week but are really going to miss our friday night (watched actually on Sat though) ritual with our fracking characters we'd grown to love. Now we'll have to just make due with the the Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles and Survivor. And LOST of course! I LOVE that show. In fact it's now time to watch what I missed last night so shhhh don't tell me! I'll let you know what I think hopefully tomorrow night when I might...Just MIGHT blog again while Mi's off raquetballing and Chase is with Mark! Aren't YOU lucky? ;)
Enjoy your Friday til then...
L.
