Germy Day

It'd be a normal day on the home front if it weren't for hubby having the flu or some sort of alien infecting his body! He's feverish with headache, chills and sweats with general aches all over. He's rarely one to stay home from work but this one is kicking his butt. It started Sunday morning and he's still down for the count. Being home though means we need tv to keep his mind off his ails. Thankfully the AKC 2017 National Dog Show is on the Hallmark channel. It's just the groups and then Best in Show but since we didn't get to attend this past weekend's dog show it's a secondary fix. Scarlet isn't so happy with all the dogs showing in her living room though so she's barking at them as they come on. She does it to all dogs on the tv not just a dog shows. Luckily with dog shows she gets used to it being repetitive and stops for the most part. She doesn't bark at dogs when we are watching shows in person either or she'd be staying home!

We spent the weekend at my in-laws for the third weekend in a row as my MIL is still ill. She's very slowly improving. Tomorrow will be a marathon though in that they have to get her out of the house with the ambulance service (she's too weak to walk and to try and climb into a vehicle at her size but this was happening before her hospital stay too) to see her Primary care provider. I hope it goes better than it could with her being very uncomfortable in her wheelchair and not used to being outside the house. She constantly needs her legs elevated it appears to me since she never sits normally.

After the weekend it's nice to spend a laid back day in our own bed. I tried getting some potato soup for J from Culver's but it was not the soup of the day. He was disappointed but didn't want me to make homemade either. So instead he has elected to have eggs and toast for supper. Compelling, I know but that's the kind of life I like to lead! I'm a homeboy at heart :)
