Work, Life & Kids

Work, Life & Kids are always getting in the way of my having fun. Okay and having no money to spend is another one on that list. Not having a job is really putting a cramp in my finances but it gives me free time. Free time when no one else is free though. At least the ones that are fun. I am in need of someone really interesting to entertain me these days. I am failing at entertaining myself. How sad. LOL

What does save me most nights these days is audiobooks. Most of my life's passion up until the last five years was music. It always helped me cope. Now though it's audiobooks on my ipod. It's such a great way to read before bed and help fall asleep. When I can't sleep and wake up in the middle of the night it helps lull me back to sleep. If I'm stressing it helps distract my mind and block out the world. I love getting the books from my local library electronically. It's pretty easy to sign in, download and transfer to my ipod. Most of them are MP3's so it messes with my itunes and I have reorder the parts of the book or it starts from the end and moves backward. I don't know why that happened but as with most things it happened when something was updated or upgraded either in itunes or the library software. I'm just glad I figured out how to keep using it. It's actually a pain in the arse to do now then it used to but without it I'd be lost. So I really can't complain since it's free.

This is what I'm currently listening to:
Birthmarked by Caragh O'Brien
There are two more in the series. Prized and Promised.
Especially if you like Iowa Public Televisions's 'Call the Midwife', you'll like this series. More adventerous.
