Germs

My person is surrounded by germs. Our friend LM has had the flu the last 10 days and is now battling bronchitis too. Our other friend LA had a short bout with the flu. Both had gotten their flu shots this year too otherwise it could have been even worse. My hubby has been battling some sort of bug with tons of drainage, general body aches and exhaustion for the last 5 days and now I'm beginning to sneeze and have a ton of post nasal drip. This must stop now! We have a dog show coming up midweek.

Speaking of dog shows. Were heading to Wichita, Kansas on Thursday for a 3 day show along with LM and her bitch, Tandoori. There is a major in class bitches each day so were pretty excited. 

I've never been to Wichita either. It;s about a 5 hour drive from our home. We're meeting some other friends there that also have Salukis. It'll be good to hang out even if were staying at a luxurious Motel 6. Budgeting is a priority with me not working right now so were sharing a room with LM. It'll be tight but a good precursor to our Nationals trip together. Our hotel there though will be much nicer. 

There's a lot to do before we leave Thursday. Grooming is essential. Today is bathing day. It's dreary and rainy out so it's a good day for that. Our friend LA is coming over to help us do a little more in depth clippering since we don't usually do clippers. Our older Saluki, Scarlett is getting a little more hair growth in places that we are uncertain about like her arm pit and the top of her head. She sorta looks like a tweety bird on top. 😁
